Memorial rose

A young lady came in to get a memorial rose for her grandmother who died of emphysema and aunt who died of lung cancer. This hits a little too close to home, thought I was going to be misty-eyed ha.

all the houses are stable mates.

I have Victor the Cowboy-bot on the inside of my arm now, he looks great! Huge thank you to Thomas Kersnowsky, a very talented artist and I'm glad I work with him, I learn a lot!

Victor isn't just about being from my favorite video game (Fallout: New Vegas, if you are not privy), but also my favorite culture: the wanderlust of the cowboy. I think it may be why I like old western music, it's always about the wanderer, and I feel like I identify pretty strongly to it.. I've been working on a series of paintings to further explore that feeling of the lone traveler. Every painting is about the lone oasis in the middle of the night- the rest stop, gas station, or diner.

new stuff

Been a busy lady, and I've got a week until Atlanta.. so excited!!! I miss my little family and all of my friends.

So red and angry when I took this pic.. I really need a healed picture.

the very next day, a couple of guys came in from this client's gym, what a turnaround! Too bad they wanted something bigger, I passed it on to Thomas.
I've been on a Mad Men and comic book marathon as of late. Plus, painting a picture of waffle house for a friend.. still a busy gal!
