i have a new and promising concept

and it involves animals :)
i'll have a better explanation when i'm not so worn out.

it is so good.

This is sort of funny, but also bears the question: Didn't Yoplait say to crush your cans?
So I may be on my way to Florida very soon, like a week or two. So I'll be able to concentrate on my work and saving money. Hopefully also finding a job in illustration and/or graphic design. . Good thing much of my work has been about wandering, because I sure do a lot of it.

in the end, no mice will be left behind

THANK YOU!
Though Atlanta really should've been number 2, at least it was in the top 5.

Also, oh my!

The stupid truly hurts, folks.

In other news, my boyfriend Douglas Scott (eleventhirtyfour.net) was mentioned on a podcast for 365 Days of Astronomy- A daily podcast for the International Year of Astronomy! What a clever man..

all the jobs have been hunted to extinction

I have spent all day looking for jobs, and it's been more fruitful than usual.. I found a whole 3! Not to mention the other 5 found during the week that have been non-responsive. I tell you, Georgia's got problems! Just Georgia, not me :D

just curious,,

First some work, then some thoughts..I think this may be appropriate to subject matter..

If atmospheric scientists say the climate is changing, then who the hell are people listening to that say otherwise?
It seems to me (and pardon for stating the obvious), that maybe certain groups of people do not want to believe the change is happening for convenience sake. Just a thought..

oh, and more work

All the work I did yesterday finding work on my hard drive that needed to be posted- here's a few.

remembering you have pics on your camera is sometimes like finding a 5 dollar bill in your pocket.

Sometimes I forget about my digital camera, and months later realize how many photos I have stowed away. I had taken pictures of Avondale Estates in Atlanta as reference for some drawings, would you believe it's right smack in the middle of some not-so-great city area? In my opinion, the oldest suburban area is also the most successful. You would think you're out in the country!
I recently read about the founder of Avondale, and his obsession with the New England-ish neighborhoods. He was spot-on I think, though I hear the guidelines are insanely strict, though look what strict guidelines get you.

Anywho, I also have more work- I was really excited to actually have a sticker finished, though I have been asked for them I have to sell at cost at the moment.

So until I get my website up, I think it would be wise to put my work somewhere. So here we go.. This ink drawing is one in a group, focused on weather-lore.

workflow amounts to nada

So it looks like the world o' work has shut it's doors for those who were kicked out during this most wicked year. However after a pleasant working experience with clients for Delta's Sky Magazine, I'd say I've found my goals for 2009 (well at least half of the new year, this shouldn't take that long).

Short Term Goals:

* finish at least one set of paintings for my study
* steady promotion of my work
Long Term Goals:
* steady freelance workload directly created by steady promotion of work
* conquer math (blech, but I love weather, so YAY MATH!)
* Professional Track Master's in Meteorology
